The Challenge

The Challenge

Approximately over 10 million dogs and cats are either lost or stolen in the U.S. every year. To keep your dog safe, SnifferGPS created a collar GPS that allows you to track your pet on any device, anywhere, anytime.

Our challenge was to create an iOS app that will allow users to see their dog's location and get notifications when the dogs are out of bound.

Research

Research

We were prompted to design a seamless experience for users to easily track their dog, see battery percentage, and access the fence feature.

Survey results helped narrow down the user demographics to high income users who are older living in metropolitan areas with major roads. The fence will need to be precise considering the small sqft in most city homes. Through the competitive analysis, many of them use a form of top navigation and lack a demo option that allow users to browse the app before purchase.

After analyzing SnifferGPS’s main competitors and took note of the main functionality, we sketched out ideas of the landing page, map and dog profile.

Journey Mapping helped us organize and prioritize features. Here we realized the need to focus on minimizing the pain of the on-boarding process.
